Christian Distinctiveness

As a Church of England school and part of the Diocese of Lichfield, our Christian vision and values influence all that we do as we aim to enable all children to let God's light shine through them and provide an education that enables 'life in all its fullness'. Church schools and academies serve the needs of all faiths and none and are open to children and parents/carers from across the community, regardless of background, perspective, religion or culture.

As well as interweaving our Christian vision of "Let your light shine" (Matthew 5.16) and our three core Christian values of Community, Respect and Perseverance into all aspects of school life, we celebrate and raise awareness of six Christian values per year, on a two-year rolling cycle, to equip our pupils with these fundamental values which will enable them to grow and develop into well-rounded members of the community.

We have close connections with our local Church, Holy Trinity, Meole Brace and this is highlighted by its depiction in our school logo, showing the Church's place at the very heart of our school. Reverend Phil Cansdale regularly leads acts of Worship for the children both at the Church and here in school and our daily Collective Worship cycle is supported by our School Chaplain, Judith Clarkson and the Children and Families Minister, Cerys Hughes.
